War Canon Launches

Technically, this might be considered a re-launch. I hosted the original version of this blog with another domain provider. When I migrated to Hostinger something went drastically wrong and I lost all the content I had created on the other hosting site. Thus, our author is reminded of one of the first axioms of war.

No Plan Survives Contact With The Enemy

Fortunately, I create written drafts in word of almost all of my content and saved those. The previous content will be re-added to this site over time.

Sit back, keep your hands inside the ride at all times, and enjoy the journey. If you choose to comment be advised that relevant comments are encouraged. Spam, trolling, and other bad behavior will be excised and lanced like the foul pustules of gangrenous sludge they are.

As alluded in my “Who Am I” page I am a veteran of the psychic wars (shameless Blue Oyster Cult reference). I have and have had many roles in life. Many of them intersected and mingled with my forty years, ten months, and 17 days spent in the U.S. Army and Army Reserves. I may not have been the rock star soldier but I was persistent. Persistent enough to accumulate the equivalent of almost 30 years of active duty credit for retirement. And persistent enough to be steeped in a culture that has shaped human history since before the dawn of time.

I consider myself an amateur war historian. My interests are wide and tend to vary much like a squirrel on his third can of RockStar Energy Drinks. I may voice an opinion or an analysis on current events. I will definitely cover a wide variety of topics from military music to the P-38 military can opener.

Welcome to War Canon.
